Rebuild

Rebuild

We’ve all been there. You’re a survivor of a zombie apocalypse
and you’re tasked with rebuilding society - whilst fending off zombies. A turn-based
strategy game in the mould of Civilisation, you must go from building to
building, reclaiming it from the zombie hordes, all whilst managing other
survivors and resources.

There’s seven different endings, so that’ll keep you busy - and the city
scapes are randomly generated, so you’ll always have a new challenge to face.

Air Hockey Halloween

In perhaps the world’s most obvious seasonal cash-in… it’s air
hockey, but with a spooky twist. The spooky twist is that your opponent is
apparently a pumpkin with a pair of arms - as well as a load of other monsters.

There’s apparently 24 to beat across four different tables - with ten levels of
difficulty. What’s cool too is that you can also play two player against a friend
on the same device - with each of you taking a side on the phone and sliding
your fingers around. Perhaps this is what the huge Galaxy Note 3 has been
waiting for.

What’s also nice is that unlike most modern games there’s no micro-payments
- it’s just entirely completely free!

Despicable Me

Despicable Me
The surprisingly smash-hit films have made it to Android, offering
you the chance to play as one of the iconic Minion characters. There’s different
settings in which you have to collect power-ups, fight bosses and do the platform
thing - and nicely for Halloween, they’ve added a Halloween level.

You can also dress your Minion up as a vampire, for the full Halloween effect.

Connect’Em Halloween

Connect’Em Halloween
In another Halloween rebrand, this clever puzzle game has
added some pumpkins to the action, to make it fully topical. The premise of the
puzzles is connecting blobs - each blob though has a finite number of connections,
so you have to figure out the optimal way to do it. Which sounds easy - but can
get fiendishly tricky.

There’s three different game modes - and over 2000 levels, so it should keep
you busy until Halloween 2014.

Shoot the Zombirds

Shoot the Zombirds
A halloween themed shooter of sorts. In what appears to be a
twisted take on the classic NES game Duck Hunt, you’re tasked with shooting down
the zombie birds - or “zombirds” as they’re called.

There’s different game-modes and power-ups to unlock, and an online leaderboard
to compare your scores to other players. And it’s all horror-themed. Perfect.
