Reasons Why Windows 8 May Be Failing

Windows 8 is still a brand new operating system, and many people have not updated their computers to it yet. There are still many people that are using Windows XP, but probably more that use Windows 7. Windows 8 is a good operating system and it is a step in the right direction, but it still fails as a great operating system in many different ways.

With Windows 8 you no longer have the option to open your desktop using a password. The only option you have now is to use your email address and the password for your email address.
Longer Start Up
It takes longer to start up a Windows 8 computer and get to your desktop. You first see a photo page, and you have to click the right side of the screen to open the login fields. You then have to type in your email address and password to get to the opening start page. You then have to click on the desktop app to get to your desktop. With Windows 7, you have to click on your username and you are immediately at your desktop (if you do not have a password set).
Confusing
Windows 8 can be very confusing for many people. It is most confusing on how it addresses programs and apps. It actually places programs under apps but still calls them programs in the control panel.
Pop-Out Side Bars
These bars do not work very well. They will only work perfectly if you hit the exact right spot with your mouse. This is very frustrating as you have to move your mouse around several different times before the start tab or side bar opens up on your screen.

Gone are the days where you can place icons on your desktop for certain programs. Instead, you have to hit the pop up start tab (which is hard to open in the first place), go to the start screen that shows various apps to get to these programs.

Windows 8 is much slower than Windows 7 and it doesn’t matter what you do with it. Many of the apps are so slow that they simply do not work correctly. When you click on a file you have to enter in your email address and password again. It just takes many  more steps to get to what you want than it does with Windows 7
.

There are some good things about Windows 8. The price of it was very low if you purchased it at the special price of $39.99. Internet Explorer 10 is getting some very good reviews. Microsoft is taking a step in the right direction, but they have a lot more work to do to get Windows 8 running the way it should.
